Training
Whispering Farm is unique in that we have several well qualified trainers in a variety of disciplines. Whether you are a beginning rider or are looking for someone to help you get to the top levels of equestrian competition, one of our trainers will be a match for you!
We specialize in dressage, eventing, and the hunter/jumper industries. We have two FEI level dressage trainers, both with years of experience through the Grand Prix level, a trainer who can help you start in the world of eventing, and one who will take you into the Hunter/Jumper ring. If you want to try the thrill of eventing and combined training, we have that covered as well. Want to try the jumpers or dabble in the hunter ring? Give it a try with our hunter/jumper trainer. We can also help start your young horses, re-school one that needs some help, or sell one that needs a new home (and we can help you buy another, too!). Check out our trainers HERE (link).
Competition
If you want to try your hand at competition, our trainers travel to local, regional, and national shows with both clients and horses. We foster a fun, safe, team atmosphere with an emphasis on both success and progressive sound training. We want our clients to cheer each other on and feel supported and prepared as they advance in their competitive riding.
Don’t want to compete? That’s ok too! We understand that some riders want to meet personal goals, not competitive ones. We train all our clients according to their personal ambitions!
Equine Training
We have a number of clients who prefer to watch their horses develop under the riding skills of one of our trainers. Our trainers custom tailor their programs depending on the desires of their clients. Ride a little or ride a lot, your riding program will depend on the needs and ambitions of you and your horse. Don’t have a horse? We can help you find the perfect partner. Need to sell one? We can do that too.
Beginner Lessons
Our beginning riding program offers an introduction to the sport and to horses in general. We have safe, gentle horses for riders entering the world of horses. Riders can advance to the competitive level under the instruction of our beginning-riding trainer, and she can help with the next steps of your riding journey beyond the early stages.
Lease Horses
From time to time, we have horses available for short or long term lease. Depending on your level of riding, we may be able to match you to an available lease horse so that you can focus on your training on a horse you can bond with and progress with. Lease terms and conditions will vary from horse to horse and from trainer to trainer. Ask us how we can help you with a lease horse!
Clinics
We believe in providing our clients with ample educational opportunities in house. We host a number of in-house clinics, and first choice of ride spots go to our boarders. Mary Wanless, Lilo Fore, Heather Blitz, Claudio Olivera, Jeremy Steinburg, and Ilse Schwarz are amongst our frequent clinicians, but we are always looking for clinicians that can provide our clients new insight, techniques, and tips. Auditing is always free for boarders who want to come watch!
