Here at Whispering Farms, we strive to be a boarding facility that stands above the rest. The care and comfort of every horse here, whether it is an upper-level dressage horse or family pleasure horse, is our number one priority.

To keep all our equine friends happy and healthy, we pay attention to the details! We offer a choice of grass hay or high quality alfalfa four times daily, and we feed grain twice daily. We add owner-provided supplements upon request, and horses have access to automatic waterers in their stalls and troughs while outside.

A Premier Boarding Experience

While Whispering Farms is conveniently located just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, we hope that our horses and riders enjoy all the amenities of a true country experience. Horses enjoy all-day (or all-night, when the days get hot) turnout in either private or group settings, enjoying their lunchtime hay outside their stalls. Inside, they can relax in 12 x 12 box stalls, complete with stall mats, automatic waterers, and windows either to the outside or with a view to the arena.

Our barn staff is experienced in handling all types of horses, and keep a close eye on them for any illness or injury. We rotate blankets according to the weather, and can open or close our barn doors, making sure the temperature stays as comfortable as possible with the changing seasons.

Proper care is key to a happy horse!

We believe that the adage “feed little and often” is particularly true for the modern sport horse, and as such we make sure we provide top quality, nutritionally sound hay and feed. Our preferred grass hay is Tifton 85, which we have analyzed each year for content and quality. We work closely with nutritionists when making feed selections, and currently carry several Hallway Feed options. Our trainers and staff will help clients custom tailor a diet that will cater to their horse’s individual needs.

Our stalls are cleaned daily and bedded with premier quality shavings. Shavings are added on an as needed basis so as to keep horses comfortable, clean, and with a bed they can lie down in and rest. Waterers are also cleaned daily, and the outside troughs are cleaned weekly.

Night check services performed each evening at bedtime

Whispering Farms Equestrian Center provides exceptional boarding and training. The new owners/operators have made major improvements to the facilities over the past year or so. (EG Kraft horse walker, upgraded indoor arena footing, outdoor arena lighting, paver walkways, and landscaping.) WF has award winning trainers for beginners and advanced riders. Several riding clinics and events are also offered.

Whispering Farms is a top-notch training/boarding facility. There is no other place like it around here. I have been boarding my horse here for almost 3 years now, and I could not be happier with care that WF provides. New owners have been nothing but wonderful, very easy to work with. They have been working hard updating and upgrading things around the barn. They work closely with our barn manager and our trainers. WF provides spacious, and very clean stalls. You get premium grain feed twice a day, and hay 4 times a day! If you need special feed or alfalfa for your horse don't worry, they got you. Automatic water system, mist fly system, premium shavings, blanketing are just a few of all good things. Our barn manager works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly and goes above and beyond to ensure horse's safety. You will not find better trainers anywhere else! They all are very accomplished upper level riders. They pour their hearts into each lesson/training session. They will make sure you reach your goals, they will provide support and they will be in your corner. They become your barn family. Did I mention clinics? Oh yes! You will get to ride in clinics with names like Heather Blitz or Mary Wanless!!!
