Equestrian Center
Every equestrian who rides, trains or boards at Whispering Farms will enjoy an experience unsurpassed in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. We pamper our riders with numerous, superb amenities.
We are proud to offer amenities that will benefit the health and happiness of our horses and cater to the comfort of the humans as well. We strive to keep a clean, safe, and educational facility so that everyone can enjoy their time at the barn!
Riding Amenities
We offer one of the largest indoor arenas in the area. The footing is engineered GGT that is treated with a dust inhibitor on a regular basis, resulting in a springy, dust free riding environment. The hot Texas summer is made better by two large Big Ass fans overhead, which keep air circulating and often keep temperatures 10 degrees lower than they are outside.
Our outdoor jumping ring has a full stadium course, lights, and a shaded viewing area so that visitors can watch lessons or training sessions. We also have a covered round pen for lunging.
Horses that are kept inside for inclement weather, are rehabbing, need fitness work, or just need some extra time to stretch their legs will enjoy our Kraft eurowalker. This amazing amenity is built to our custom specifications. It is fully enclosed, and horses walk on shock absorbing mats for an absolutely even walking experience.
Our Stable Area
Our barn areas are designed for horse comfort and safety. We have four indoor wash racks, each one with hot and cold water, cross ties, and rubber mats for bathing and cooling off after a hot ride. We also have eight grooming stalls for ease in grooming and tacking up.
Our stalls are 12×12, with two 12×24 oversized stalls. Each stall boasts rubber mats, automatic waterers, and a swing out feed door. Blanket bars hold two blankets during the winter months and fly sheet for warmer times. Exterior stalls have dutch doors with views to the private turnouts, interior stalls have window views of the arena.
Tack rooms are equipped with a private locker for each horse. Lockers are large enough to hold a saddle, bridles, grooming supplies, and other daily necessities. Oversized lockers are available for clients who wish to have a little more space.
Each stall has a facility-provided fan. Fans are automated to keep the air moving in the heat of the day and shut off for safety at night. During the buggy season, we have a fully automated fly spray system to combat those flying pests.
Human Creature Comforts
For those times when our human boarders wish to relax, we have a full sized gallery, where the goings on in the arena can be watched in comfort. If the weather is cold (or hot!), visitors might want to stick to the temperature controlled lobby area, relax on a couch, enjoy coffee, or watch from the seating area.
We have made our facility user friendly for the horse owner. Riders and trainers can access the round pen, the eurowalker, the outdoor arena AND the indoor arena without having to traverse mud thanks to our paved and landscaped walkways. Our indoor is accessible directly from the barn, making it possible to ride without getting into the elements!
